Ex- Physician Charged with Assault Charges Against 38 Patients
Legal authorities report that a ex- physician now faces charges for committing sexual assaults against thirty-eight victims who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of sexual offences – some of which involve some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A senior prosecutor commented, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, meticulously examining the evidence to establish that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Investigation
The charges come after what police called a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

The charging documents outline the forty-five sexual offences comprise:
- Fifteen counts of assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
