“He has been going around the block for a considerable period, with a lot of fights on his ledger. In no way is he an aged fighter but he has been in the game for a while and had some heavy fights. I too have faced intense battles and I know they put miles on the clock. He has been in a lot more of those compared to me.”

But the lingering doubt persists that Parker should prove too experienced, and too skilful, for his opponent. He is expected to triumph a bruising battle with the confidence that he is the leading contender for Usyk – currently the top heavyweight globally by a comfortable distance.
